SOCIAL ENTERPRISE VIDEO PRODUCTION
When I first heard about social enterprise I was so excited.
Social enterprise promised to solve the challenge of chasing grant funding year after year for projects and initiatives designed to benefit the community.
We were lucky enough to be the film partner for the now legendary OxfordJam unconferences held in Oxford between 2010 and 2014 as a fringe festival to the Skoll World Forum.
So many of the current leaders from the worlds of social investment, social impact, social enterprise, corporate responsibility, and purpose-driven business were there at OxfordJam. It was a melting pot of fresh-faced, optimistic rebels, trailblazers, and dedicated change makers. It brings a huge smile to my face to see so many of us from the OxfordJam days still working hard to make a positive difference in the world across a huge range of agencies and organisations in the UK and worldwide.

PURPOSE-DRIVEN
VIDEO PRODUCTION
I founded Be Inspired Films in Birmingham in 2008 with a very clear purpose - to bring great ideas to life and tell stories that matter using film and video.
The best way to describe what we do is purpose-driven video production or purpose-driven storytelling for individuals and organisations making a positive difference in society. This includes businesses doing great corporate responsibility work and beyond.
When I heard about B Corp in late 2014, as a movement of for-profit businesses acting as a force for good in the world, I was immediately on board with the idea.
Government and philanthropy alone will never be able to effectively tackle the huge social and environmental challenges we face today.
If businesses can play their part by pro-actively aligning themselves with a purpose beyond profit, then a huge positive impact can be made. This approach goes well beyond traditional corporate responsibility to embedding a purpose-driven motive at the heart of the business model.
Hopefully, all businesses in the future will have a reason for existing that is more than just about making money. There is a strong argument to be made that they will need to in order to make sustainable profits over time and attract the best talent.
Be Inspired Films became one of the UK’s Founding B Corps in 2015 and is proud to be the first B Corp video production company in the UK. It has been exciting to see so many more creative agencies join us in the B Corp movement over the years since then.
We are a video production company in Birmingham and London and work extensively throughout the UK. We also take on global projects having filmed on almost every continent.
